Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker CG100 2-Speed Powered Caulk GunCustomer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 StarsI have never caulked anything. My husband does a horrible job caulking. I decided that I would have to take over this task. I researched and found this item and decided to try it based on previous reviews. It was fabulous!!! I just did my first caulking job and I am IMPRESSED!!! Maybe, just maybe, my husband could even do a good job with this tool!! I did invest in rechargeable batteries and would like a piece that extends the end for tight corners. I'm not sure they make such a thing, but I will look after I finish this review.
Customer Review: Light Duty Summary: 3 StarsThis is OK if you want to do some very light work. It does not have much power. Better products are available.
Customer Review: Sure Beats the Manual Type of Caulk Gun Summary: 4 StarsI decided to try a powered caulk gun because I just was not able to operate the old manual type and get a neat job. This unit is much easier to use but it does take some time to master it. It is not a powerhouse, being powered by batteries only, but it has adequate power to lay down a continuous bead of caulk. The trick is to learn the proper pressure to use on the trigger and getting in the correct position so you can see what you are doing. I am not able to compare this unit with any other powered unit since I have not used any others but it does beat the old manual typel.
Customer Review: powered caulking gun Summary: 4 StarsThis caulking gun is helpful for tendonitis. My husband is a glazier. He likes the idea but finds it difficult to "feel" the caulk. He cannot control the amount. Says he will keep it for quick small jobs, but cannot use it daily with his windows, etc.
Customer Review: Work's Great Summary: 5 StarsI was skeptical about buy this inexpensive caulk gun, but, I was pleasantly surprised. It works very well and is easy to use. Since I have a lot of rechargeable AA batteries, I used them instead of the included alkaline batteries. I only had a small job but I quickly got used to it. The no drip instant stop works well and avoids wasted material and mess. Also, the little plunger that goes into the caulk tube also remained clean after using it. In fact, I had no cleanup after the job.
