Help, I'm ironing and I can't stop!!! I love my digital iron. The digital readout is a real plus and for the first time in my life, the settings mean what they say__when it says it's the right temp to get the wrinkles out of a cotton shirt it does the job. I just change that little digital setting to "cotton", wait a sec til it beeps to say it's at the right temp, and iron away. It's wonderful. I haven't hit a clothing item yet that refuses to give up it's wrinkles at the setting they've determined. Another real plus is the ease with which I can fill it with water. There's a wonderful little air-hole so I can fill the tank as quickly as I want without having to hold it at just the right tilt so the air bubbles will not keep the water from going into the tank. Oh, and there's a little cover to keep the water from sloshing out while I'm ironing--how cool is that? The weight of the iron is nice--not too heavy but weighty enough to make me feel like it's doing the work instead of me. Rowenta user for years, unfortunately a friends daughter dropped my Rowenta onto the tile floor in the laundry room while visiting, no hope in resureccting. I was lamenting my loss to my drycleaners and she recommended the B&W D2030, brought it up from the back of the shop to show me. Trusting her as she is not just a counter person, she and her family have owned this DC for over 20 yrs in the same shopping center, I visited several B&M's to no avail (only because I could not imagine not having an iron in the house for even one minute). Gave up my search and came home to see if possibly Amazon had it in stock, and luckily they did. I have Prime so upped the shipping to next day for the minimal cost and am so thrilled that I did.
This iron is lighter than the Rowenta, produces a lot of steam, the water markings are easy to read, the touch button and digital read out stating what the level of heat is used for is excellent.
My garmets are pressed nicely and quickly using this iron. Highly recommend it.

The best iron my wife and I have used. Our very expensive Rowenta started off ok, but gradually built up residue and even after cleaning, would leave particles on our clothes. This Black & Decker iron works beautifully, cleans very easily (even lets you know when it needs to be cleaned), and leaves no residue after cleaning. Shot of steam is more than enough and you can adjust how much you want to have by the dial below the handle. The digital read-out beeps when the iron is at the temperature you've selected, and it is a breeze to iron now. The weight of this iron is good, not too heavy and not too light. The water tank holds a good amount of water and it is very easy to add more water if needed. The little cover/door that you flip up to fill the water tank is attached by a hinge that seems delicate, but we've ironed for over a month and haven't had a problem as some other reviewers have mentioned. My wife and I were looking for a new iron when the performance of our fairly new Sunbeam had been lacking for the last couple of years. To be fair, she really hadn't been happy with it from the start, saying that it didn't get hot enough or do the job. I finally decided to get a new iron, and what a difference this one is to our old one. Consumer Reports rates it a Best Buy in its category and the price through Amazon was amazingly inexpensive. I really like the way that it is built. From the moment that you take it out of the box it feels substantial. The cord is long and heavy. The stainless steel soleplate is the same kind as found on more expensive Rowentas. It heats up amazingly fast and its water capacity is tremendous compared to our old one. The variable steam function works really great, delivering abundant to no steam. My wife loves the way that it irons her work pants and when I iron my work shirts they have never come out so crisp looking. I researched online for user opinions and ratings before purchasing my iron. I first got the Rowenta iron and with all the hype and good reviews I wasn't that impressed. Well let me tell you I saw this model in my Consumer Reports it had a great review and it was sold at a great price. I bought it and am so glad I did. This is the best iron I have ever had!!!!!! It does everything and more. I can not imagine anyone being disapponted with this iron unless it was defective. If you are looking to buy, trust me,, this is the one to buy!
UPDATE: After using this iron for about 12 months it started leaking from the seams and I could only fill the water halfway to try and avoid it. I always had to put a cloth under it just incase. I ended up getting rid of it and found an iron even better than this one. It is the Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron w/Stainless Steel SolePlate. While my issue may not happen to someone else I just wanted to let others know of what happened with mine.
