Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker FSMVC 9.6-Volt to 18-Volt Slide Style Battery Charger

Customer Review: A smaller version of this should have shipped with drill.
Summary: 4 Stars

The class 2 transformers break down and can start fires, A smaller version of this should ship with products. Batteries require some charger intelegance for safety and longevity.

Customer Review: B & D Charger
Summary: 5 Stars

Charger is working as expected.

Should have come with the batteries.

Original charger was pure junk.

If you have B&D batteries you need this charger.

Customer Review: battery charger
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this instead of replacing the cheap charger that came with the unit that quit because I left it on too long. This one works great. It charged my two batteries quickly and I can leave a battery in it if I want to.

Customer Review: 18 volt smart charger
Summary: 5 Stars

So far this device works quite well. Better than the dumb charger that was supplied with my weedwacker. With dumb charger I had to sometimes stay up to wait till 6 hours had passed or set alarm to wake up and disconnect and reconnect batteries as applicable. Much the improvement.

Customer Review: Better than standard charger
Summary: 5 Stars

Compared to the standard charger, I like that this charger provides feedback on whether the battery is fully charged. For me it's worth the price for that and being able to charge faster than the standard charger. It also provides a designated hole that a screw can be driven through to mount it to a wall. My older batteries did not initially slide into the charger easily, but with wiggling and some extra force they eventually slid in and now slide in normally (and still work on tools).
