Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker NHT518/NHT518L 18-Volt Cordless Electric Hedge TrimmerCustomer Review: User Friendly Summary: 5 StarsIt's lightweight, yet powerfull (and no cords to accidently cut). It's great for light trimming, but I have to carry lopers for the bigger stuff (which I did for my corded trimmer as well).
Customer Review: Very pleased with the trimmer Summary: 5 StarsMy wife does the entire hedge trimming at our house and she has an electric hedge trimmer, but I am constantly repairing the extension cord after she has cut it. I was some what apprehensive about purchasing a battery operated trimmer, but after a full charge of the battery she used it about 40 minutes running time and it never showed any power loss. I purchased a spare battery, which will be handy the days all the rimming needs to be done. Received the Trimmer from [...] in just a few days, but the spare battery was back-ordered which did not matter; being the trimmer didn't run the first battery down. I recommend this product for the do-it-yourselfers!
Customer Review: Great tool to own Summary: 1 StarsIf you are looking for a door stop. Does a good job when battery is charge....which is about 2 minutes. Complete waste of money.
Customer Review: Only for small projects Summary: 1 StarsWe just bought this Hedge Trimmer and initally thought how great it was because it is very lite but it is only good for very small projects. We have a yard with approx. 15 hedges and it took my husband 5 days with two batteries to get through the project. We are now taking it back because it has ceased and won't work. Don't waste your time if you have a normal sized yard.
Customer Review: Does a great job Summary: 5 StarsWe have two acres with many trees and bushes, and this trimmer handles it all on one charge. Of course most of my garden equipment is B&D so many batteries can be found in my garage if one is needed. Love the cordless wonders of B&D, they always have enough power to do the job and none of the hassle.
