I don't use my tools very often, and don't always have 3+ hours to wait when I do. Do to erratic use and not always following the instructions on charging (sometimes leaving batteries in for days)I wasn't sure of the condition of my three batteries. This charger has cut the wait time to 1 hour and stops when done. I can plug a battery in when I get up, and when I'm done with breakfast it's ready for my weekend project. The battery condition indicator that is built in has saved me the expense of buying another battery, as it indicates all three still take a good charge. I'm very happy with this purchase and recomend it to anyone with the old 14.4V Firestorm kit. Customer Review: Amazon Can't or won't Deliver

I'm very surprised but, Amazon apparently has some new companies they are using for shipping. One of their new shippers, Velocity Express, claims to have delivered 2 of these to my home, the original and the replacement. They NEVER delivered either one. Instead of contacting Velocity Express and taking care of this, the csr says all they can do is give a refund. The 1st csr I spoke to after the 2nd non delivery said they won't send another one because they just wouldn't deliver it again. Amazon...what's happened to you? Customer Review: B&D Charger

This charger worked as advertised. Batteries were charged within an hour. Too bad it's not a little smaller, otherwise it would fit in the case with the drill. But it works better than the original charger. Customer Review: Close Enough for Government Work

After having two (2) of the dedicated 14.4V chargers that came with my B&D cordless Reciprocating Saw fail due to cheap 'wallwart' transformers, I decided to see if the batteries would fit any of my DeWalt 8.4V-14.4V chargers. Well, they did and for awhile I was swapping batteries through the chargers trying to keep them all charged - needless to say this was a pain. When I saw this one, since the price was REALLY good it was a "no-brainer".

It appears to be constructed far better than the ones that came with the saw and so far it has done its' job perfectly.

I have become an avid review reader and once again it has paid off. I was in need of a new charger for my older but still very functional drill. Initially I was going to just replace the charger that came with the drill, til I read the reviews. I thank all of you that take the time to write a review. This charger is all that I had hoped for and then some. It made for a quick charge (probably less than an hour) on my battery that had been completely dead for sometime. Battery has held it's charge so all is well. I would recommend this charger anytime. It works wonderfully - far better than the original equipment that came with the drill.
